Mobile Response and Stabilization Services

Mobile Response Stabilization Services (MRSS)

iMind’s Mobile Response Stabilization Services (MRSS) is a community-based program providing rapid intervention and support for school-aged youth experiencing behavioral health crises. MRSS focuses on stabilizing crisis situations, preventing unnecessary hospitalizations or placements, and connecting individuals to ongoing care and resources. The program supports Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) and school-aged youth in Prince George’s County.

Key Features of MRSS

3. Stabilization Services

  • The focus is on de-escalating the crisis, creating safety plans, and addressing immediate needs.

4. Short-Term Support

  • Follow-up stabilization services are typically provided for a short duration (e.g., minimum 8 weeks) to ensure continuity of care.

5. Linkage to Resources

  • Teams connect individuals and families to long-term behavioral health services, community supports, and other necessary resources.
